The Game-Changer for AI: Confidential GPUs and What’s Next
Explore how NVIDIA’s groundbreaking technology and Opaque’s Confidential AI platform are unlocking new possibilities across industries.
Hi reader,
The future of AI isn’t just about innovation—it’s about trust. As confidential computing evolves from niche technology to a foundational pillar of modern AI, we’re seeing the emergence of groundbreaking tools that protect data while unlocking new possibilities for collaboration and scale.
In this week’s episode of AI Confidential podcast, I had the privilege of speaking with Daniel Rohrer, VP of Software Product Security at NVIDIA, and Raluca Ada Popa, Co-Director of UC Berkeley’s Skylab, co-founder of Opaque, and ACM Grace Murray Hopper Award winner. Together, we unpacked how technologies like NVIDIA’s H100 GPUs and advanced attestation are redefining what’s possible in confidential AI.
Here’s a glimpse of what we discussed:
How confidential GPUs are enabling AI applications that were previously out of reach.
Why attestation is becoming a cornerstone for trusted data and AI workflows.
Real-world use cases that illustrate how confidential AI is transforming industries, from healthcare to finance.
This episode dives deep into the technologies and strategies that are not just shaping AI’s future but ensuring it remains secure, ethical, and impactful.
Tune in to AI Confidential now, and let’s explore the innovations that are making the impossible possible.

Postcard from Rome: Building the Digital Core for AI
Rome’s timeless beauty provided the perfect backdrop for last week’s incredible event and celebration of Accenture’s Cloud Innovation Center anniversary. Accenture’s "Digital Core for AI" framework took center stage, showcasing how organizations can adopt scalable AI while maintaining full control over their data and models. Seeing Opaque as a core partner in this ecosystem, alongside tech leaders like Intel, Dell, Cloudera, and Equinix, reinforced our mission to empower enterprises with sovereign AI solutions (we call it confidential, they call it sovereign—the benefits are universal).
The event highlighted not just innovation but collaboration. Reconnecting with Giovanni Spina, CTO of Accenture’s Innovation Center, and Mauro Capo, head of Sovereign Cloud, deepened our shared commitment to secure, performant AI. A special shoutout to Giorgio Natili for his outstanding presentation—he brought both insight and energy to the discussion.
Rome reminded me of the value of in-person connection. At Opaque, we’re thrilled to be part of this movement, helping organizations build their AI future with trust and control.
